The meteorological first day of summer was June 1 in New England.

And the arrival of summer means its time for White Night festivals all over the world.

Sometimes called Nuit Blanche, the first ever White Night festival was held in St. Petersburg, Russia. Paris, Tel Aviv, Toronto, Montreal, and Melbourne, Australia are some of the cities that now celebrate the event.

In New England, the American Clock and Watch Museum on Maple Street in Bristol, Conn. will be holding a White Night Bristol party on Saturday from 4 to 7 p.m.

At a White Night event, guests are invited to dress all in white (although no one will be shamed for wearing Navy Blue).

But what to wear?

Simply Vera Vera Wang and Princess Vera Vera Wang at Kohl’s (Kohls.com) offer a wide selection of dresses, blouses, slacks, shoes, purses, and accessories for your White Night festivities wherever you are.

The White Night Bristol party will be held Saturday, June 11 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the American Clock and Watch Museum, 100 Maple St., Bristol, Conn. The event is free. For more information, go to clockandwatchmuseum.org
