Ydaymys Simo presented a children’s collection at Style Fashion Week at the Manhattan Center, New York City that reminded me of tropical resorts.
The colorful collection with a lot of pretty details is clearly not meant to wear to school or to romp around in the background. It’s a collection intended to create an image of beauty and youthful sophistication. It reminded me of clothing the children would wear to a nice restaurant with their parents during a stay in Jamaica or St. Maarten’s. Somewhere with a Caribbean sun and a refreshing sea breeze.
The collection unveiled on the New York runway was very editorial. I could see many of the pieces presented on the pages of a glossy fashion magazine.
