You can strut your ‘Kinky Boots’ in CT Thursday

WATERBURY – The Tony Award™ winning show “Kinky Boots”, part of the Webster Broadway series, sashays its way to the Palace Theater December 6 – 11 for eight performances and includes a special pre-show event before the Thursday December 8 performance.

Mirroring the show’s message and social media hashtag  that it’s ok to “Just Be” yourself, a pre-show event from 5:30 – 7:15 pm before the Thursday evening show,  entitled “STRUT”  is planned. Co-hosted by Scot Haney of WFSB, CT Magazine writer Mary Ellen Fillo and Hartford playwright, Jacques La Marre, the event will benefit the work of True Colors Hartford an organization that supports Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual, and Transgender youth across CT.  Tickets for the event are $125 and include the pre-show cocktail party where guests are encouraged to wear their “most fabulous footwear” and enjoy savory and plentiful food stations by Verbena Catering and two complimentary Kinky Booze cocktails, as well as the 7:30pm performance. Prizes will be awarded for those in attendance who wear shoes to die for and will be judged in three categories: “On Trend”, “Cringe-worthy” (as in “my feet are killing me, but Stiletto is my middle name”) and the top prize of “Most Fabulous Footwear” . The last category will strut away with a $750 gift card courtesy of Manolo Blahnik USA. Tickets for the STRUT event, as well as for the other performances during the Kinky Boots engagement can be
purchased online at www.palacetheaterct.org, by phone at 203-346-2000, or in person at the Box Office, 100 East Main St.
