Moët Hennessy kicks off NYFW with gala

Moët Hennessy has reaffirmed its commitment as the Official Wine and Spirits Partner of amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research. Kicking off New York Fashion Week, Moët Hennessy was the Signature Sponsor for amfAR’s 19th annual New York Gala.

The evening featured a gala dinner, a live auction, special musical performances, and acknowledged two honorees for their outstanding contributions to the fight against AIDS.

Committed to providing support and visibility to worthy causes and creating customized luxury experiences for their supporters, Belvedere Vodka offered a limited-edition Silver Saber magnum customized for each guest who pledged $500 or more to amfAR throughout the evening, raising $212,141.

To support the live auction, Moët & Chandon offered, for the first time ever, an opportunity for someone to purchase their very own Moët & Chandon vending machine, which holds 336 Moët & Chandon mini bottles. The Moët & Chandon vending machine broke the evening’s record, selling for the highest price during the live auction at $85,000.

In addition to these unique and rare items donated to support amfAR’s work around the globe, Moët Hennessy also served Moët & Chandon Impérial Brut, Numanthia Termes 2013 and Cape Mentelle Sauvignon Blanc Semillon 2016 to accompany the dinner. In total, thanks in part to Moët Hennessy’s support, the gala raised nearly $2 million for amfAR.
