Wine, food, and fashion intermingle this April

Designed by Troy Anthony

Wine tasting, food sampling and fashion showcasing is on the agenda for a Saturday evening at The Library Wine Bar & Bistro, Wallingford’s venue known for offerings of local wine from Gouveia Vineyards and a menu that reflects the owner’s Portuguese heritage.

“A Taste of Fashion” will be held on Saturday, April 29 from 6 to 9 p.m. and offers an evening of creative brilliance with a fashion show by local designer Troy Anthony. His newest, romantic fashion pairs ready-to-wear designs with the color palette of Gouveia Vineyards‘ fine wines. During the fashion show, guests will enjoy complementary wine tastings and light fare prepared by The Library Wine Bar and Bistro culinary experts and enhanced by Enotre Delicato, an Italian, virgin olive oil brand quickly gaining popularity in the U.S. In charge of the olive oil drizzling is guest Chef Kashia Diaz, the executive director of My City Kitchen, the benefactor of the fashion charity. Known for educating children and adults in the culinary arts, Chef Diaz has been holding classes regularly at the Meriden Public Library.

Advance tickets are $40 and can be purchased online at www.eventbrite.com or at the door on the night of the event for $50. Music provided by DJ T-Mic.
