One-piece swimsuits are an historic fashion staple.

But they don’t have to make you look like an historic figure.

After all, for 2017, one-piece suits are one of the hot trends for 2017.

Besides being a trend unto themselves, they incorporate some of the other hot trends for the summer.

Among the hot trends this year, according to Lands’ End (www.LandsEnd.com) are:

Side Cut-outs: “Take a one-piece swimsuit, selectively remove some fabric from the sides and there you have one of the season’s hottest trends.”

High-necks are also another hot trend, said Lands’ End, which offers not only one-pieces tapping into this trend but bikinis and tankinis as well.

Another trend a wrap-around. Lands’ End reports that not only one-pieces but bikini tops are working this trend, “adding a touch of flair to common swimwear silhouettes.”

Other hot trends are:

Mesh; floral prints; ruffles; minimal; lacing.

Swimsuits for All also has highlighted one-pieces for its new Cruise 2017 line.

“Women can make a feminine fashion statement with suits trimmed in scallops or ruffles, or go for an edgier look with cut-outs and sexy lace details. For extra coverage that doesn’t sacrifice style, high-neck swimsuits are all the rage. Not a fan of girly designs? Our aquatic swimwear is sporty-chic and extra comfortable. Opt for classic tank swimsuits or silhouettes with special back designs – like racerbacks or crossbacks – for extra support while swimming. Fashion meets function in our one piece swimwear collection,” reported Swimsuits for All in its press materials.
