It’s a rite of spring.
The weather gets warmer. You set aside your light jacket. And you pair a t-shirt or tank top with your favorite jeans or shorts.
Cinder + Salt in Middletown, Conn. is a cute little shop that offers an array of t-shirts, including its latest spring line, that helps you cast the leading stars for that ritual of spring. The designs, which seem familiar but are entirely original, are created by the store’s founder, Bristol, Conn.’s Rachel DeCavage. They also are all screen printed in the back of 520 Main St. in DeCavage’s own screen print shop. And to top it off, for the environmentally aware, all of her clothing is organic and eco-friendly — even the inks on the shirts are chosen by DeCavage because of their eco-friendly nature.
T-shirts and tanks are a must on those summer vacations, trips to the beach, or summer classes at your favorite university.
Cinder + Salt is a good locale to find those t’s and tanks, to shop local, and take care of Mother Nature.
