For summer motivation this season, there is much to hope for. New memories, and a time for a new you.

If you have always wanted that summer body that you have always dreamed of, the time is now, and it is for surely never too late to start.

A few tips to stay motivated this summer, and to be the best version of you include:

Vary your workouts. Be creative in what you do to move your body. It does not always have to be the same routine of running on the treadmill. It should never be the same. You should always find new exercises and workouts, so you are constantly challenging your body. Go for a hike, a walk on the beach, a scenic bike ride, do a workout that is personalized for you that you can complete right in your home or go to your gym and utilize the equipment that you do not own.

If you have access to a pool, use that to your advantage. Swim laps or walk laps around the perimeter. If you are lucky and have access to an ocean/lake, go canoeing, or kayaking. Utilizing the water will not only benefit you from beating that heat, but these are activities that you can involve your children with. It is important to create workouts that you enjoy.

If you are a type of person who struggles to find motivation to work out on your own, find a workout partner. Even if it is your dog who pushes you to go on that walk, that is perfect.

With summer approaching comes new seasonal foods. Find out what you have access to and create new recipes, and research for some that pique interest to you. Keep in mind that low caloric, low sodium, and low fat foods are the way to go. Eating clean this summer is a must to have the body you want. Eighty percent of your results is solely from the diet you have. Only 20 percent of your results is from your fitness regime. Eating clean is your key to success.

I must not stress this enough. Drink water… You should drink at least eight glasses of water each day. With the hot weather approaching, it is even more important to stay hydrated. Not only is drinking water a benefit when staying hydrated, it is the best natural detox for your body. Water allows the elimination of toxins from your body. To add a twist, you can put fresh fruit in your water to give it some flavor.
