For many of the contestants of the Miss Connecticut Scholarship Pageant, their chosen performance talent has been taking shape for months, even years.
But then they arrive at the actual competition and within a handful of days, these women of a various dance skills must learn a choreographed dance routine and move as one.
All the while, they have to keep focused on their personal performances– and hair and makeup preparations– for later that night before the judges.
Welcome to the rehearsal for the opening number of Miss Connecticut at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford June 24.
