Thoughts of Audrey Hepburn filled my head as designer Linda Gail unveiled her latest collection at Style Fashion Week in New York Sept. 9.

As the girls, tweens, and teens walked down the runway fashioned inside the Intrepid Sea, Air, and Space Museum on the Hudson during New York Fashion Week, the gowns reminded me of two elegant visions of Audrey Hepburn. I saw the transformed Eliza Doolittle from the musical “My Fair Lady.” And I saw the princess, prior to meeting Gregory Peck, from “Roman Holiday.”

For the young woman making her way out in the world as flower girl, debutante, and prom-goer, the collection was classic but unique.
