When you see them compete for a crown, evening gowns, cocktail dresses, and talent costumes are the uniforms of necessity. But what do titleholders wear when the sash and crown are stashed away.

Meet Olivia Mae Zink, 3, of Burlington, Miss National Petite 2017-2018 of the America’s Miss Pageantry system. She competed in September at the national level, taking home the national title as she represented as the state of Connecticut.

Her mother Tara explained:

“Olivia’s style when she dresses up for other than a pageant is all different types of style dresses. Although they are not pageant dresses she loves them. She is not a huge fan of pants and will try to avoid them with any chance she gets.”

“When Olivia is home or with her friends you will find her wearing a dress with sneakers. At home you might find her in a Disney princess dress up dress playing in or outside. You will also find her helping with the garden or watering the flowers wearing some type of dress.”

And out at the playground, she’s in a dress. “Her sense of style is a girlie girl but she isn’t afraid to have fun or get a little dirty.”
