Pop sensation Demi Lovato has launched a new capsule collection of activewear with Fabletics, which press materials explained, extends the brand’s “mission to empower women by making a healthy, active lifestyle accessible to everyone – regardless of size, shape, age or ability.

Fabletics was founded in 2013 by film actress Kate Hudson (“Almost Famous” and last year’s “Marshall.”)

Press materials explain the Demi Lovato capsule collection “reflects Demi’s authentic voice of female empowerment and unique style. The collection will support the brand’s ongoing partnership with the United Nations Foundation’s Girl Up campaign – a ‘by girls, for girls’ movement that empowers girls to become a force for change for girls everywhere.”

Of the collaboration with Fabletics, Demi Lovato said, according to the brand’s press materials, “When I was approached by Kate to do a collaboration for Fabletics, I couldn’t have been more excited. I am thrilled to lend my voice to such a powerful brand and organization, both of which represent many of the values I stand for – particularly the importance of empowering girls. Being involved in the creative design process while being able to have a daily impact on young girls’ lives around the world is so rewarding to me, making this initiative very dear to my heart.”

“When we first met, I remember being so impressed by how intelligent, accomplished and confident Demi was, even at such a young age,” said Hudson, according to Fabletics’ press materials. “I loved her spirit, her honesty and how she was open to showing vulnerability, because that shows so much strength. She naturally came to mind as I was thinking about creating our first collaboration for Fabletics. Demi embodies so many elements of the Fabletics brand in such a unique way; she’s a definitive voice for female empowerment and body positivity – especially for the younger

Lovato’s newest collection for Fabletics, explain the press materials, “features elevated designs that are unique to her personal style, and also highlight her evolution as a designer with the aim to make every woman feel iconic in her own right. The fall collection is comprised of a combination of performance and lifestyle pieces with new design elements such as contouring waist straps, paint splatter camo and vibrant heather prints.”

“This collection is inspired by my personal style – on stage, at home and in the gym, so I had a lot of fun playing with bold colors, prints, and performance elements that I love,” said Lovato in the press materials from Fabletics. “I felt more confident through the design process this time around, and think that the collection reflects that. I wanted to share that with my fans in hopes that they feel as confident and empowered when wearing the pieces.”

Fabletics wrote: “Demi’s new, sophisticated designs are both wearable and focused on workout performance like structured silhouettes, a bold color palette – also highlighted by magenta and bright blues – with feminine details. Featuring a full assortment of tops, sports bras, leggings, outerwear and layering pieces, the collection ranges from XXS-3X and short, regular and tall lengths. Offered as fully styled outfits, or as separates, each piece is designed with every shape, style and activity in mind.”
