Style that fell from the heavens

In the 1976 film, “The Man Who Fell To Earth,” the Thin White Duke David Bowie looked otherworldly as a dapper outer space alien—complete with fedora– making his way through the chaos of life on Earth.

When Toshaz of Couture France unveiled her latest creations at Hartford Fashion Week earlier this year, the garments had an alien but stylish feel similar to what David Bowie evoked in that film directed by Nicolas Roeg.

In that spirit, models Jade Soto and Becca Kearns – wearing creations by Couture France of Hartford– evoke otherworldly creatures who have fell from the heavens into a moment of calm in a pastoral Earthly location.
