MIAMI– Candice Cuoco’s last swimsuit collection Bad Butterfly, in which she collaborated with Vanessa Simmons, was definitely bold and definitely showed an out-of-the-box thought process.

The line was not about being frilly and girly, or sporty and athletic, or even sexy.

It was strong, while still recognizing the customer was a woman.

The latest swimsuit line by the “Project Runway” season 14 runner-up shown at Art Hearts Fashion in Miami’s Faena Forum built upon this bold look.

There was a definite rock and roll middle finger approach to Cuoco’s swimwear this time. Working in blacks and whites, Cuoco worked in some BDSM elements like metal grommets, straps and buckles, and peek-a-boo mesh. She “Project Runway” All Star also accentuated the look with accessories such as elbow high black vinyl gloves and black vinyl caps. The collection was sexy without being demure.

The suits previewed at Miami Swim Week definitely weren’t something you would find at your local mall store.

Also, these weren’t suits designed for lying patiently on the beach. They were suits you wore at pool parties where vigorous headbanging was the primary order of the day.
