When you see them compete for a crown, evening gowns, cocktail dresses, business attire, and athleisure wear are the uniforms of necessity. But what do titleholders wear when the sash and crown are stashed away.

This week, we meet Miss Wolcott’s Outstanding Teen Monika Korbusieski of the Miss Connecticut Scholarship Program.

If going to a concert, Monika said her style “is super cute and chic. When we go out for concerts, we usually go out to eat at a nice place and take lots of pictures. I have to be Instagram ready!”

“My style for going out to dinner depends on where we are going,” said Monika. “If it is a nice place, a cute but simple dress is the way to go. If it is a casual place, I will wear jeans and a cute top.”

“I am not usually a party person, however, when I do go to parties, I usually wear leggings, sneakers, and a cute sweater,” said Monika. “If it is a fancy party then I always love wearing a cocktail dress with my black heels.”

But, when she’s taking it easy on a day off, Monika said, “I go completely comfortable which consists of a messy bun, no makeup, sweatpants or joggers, and a t-shirt and sweatshirt. I absolutely love being comfy.”
