When you see them compete for a crown, evening gowns, cocktail dresses, business attire, and athleisure wear are the uniforms of necessity. But what do titleholders wear when the sash and crown are stashed away.

This week, we meet Miss Naugatuck Valley’s Outstanding Teen Autumn Schless of the Miss Connecticut Scholarship Program.

“I would describe my personal style when out with friends as chic,” said Autumn Schless. “I like to be comfortable but stylish as well.

“My favorite type of clothing is summer attire like shorts, tanks and sandals,” said Autumn.

“When I am home relaxing you can find me in comfy clothes,” said Schless. (I wear) sweatpants, sweatshirts, shorts, and t-shirts. (I’m) always bare foot especially because I don’t like to wear socks.”

Titleholders in any pageant system interested in being featured in “Stashing the sash fashion” should email mchaiken@ctfashionmag.com.
