When you see them compete for a crown, evening gowns, cocktail dresses, business attire, and swimsuits or athleisure wear are the uniforms of necessity. But what do titleholders wear when the sash and crown are stashed away.

Today, we meet National Classic American Woman of Service 2018 Laurye Natale.

“If you know me, you know that in my ‘every day life,’ I am always in black,” said Natale when she was asked about her style when she goes out for an evening. “Because a lot of my time is spent dressing up for pageant-related activities, I don’t often have ‘down’ time. But when I do, and I’m heading out to dinner with friends, or a concert, my go-to outfit of choice is a pair of jeans with a pretty, colorful top!”

“Fuchsia is one of my favorite colors,” said Natale, “and I always feel pretty when I wear it. With a jeans-based outfit, you can either dress it up with a pair of heels, or keep it more casual with a sassy pair of flats.”

Asked about her style when she is relaxing, Natale said, “My cherished ‘down time’ moments are usually spent curled up on the couch watching TV with my dogs. So with comfort being my greatest priority at that time, you likely will find me in a pair of leggings and a comfy t-shirt.”
