Fashion designers wanted for show that benefits Latino Scholarship Fund

The Latino Scholarship Fund will put on its annual fundraiser, which is a fashion show and vendor show on Sept. 28.

The fund is working with local designers who create their pieces with a high level of authenticity and craftsmanship. Designers from Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New York are invited to participate.

Press materials from the fund said its mission is “to place selected Danbury High School Latino graduates into post-high school education and training. This significantly exceeds state averages for Latinos in Connecticut and gives individuals in this thriving community an opportunity that they may not have had otherwise.”

The Latino Scholarship Fund Fashion Show will be held Saturday, Sept. 28 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Edmond Town Hall, Newtown, Conn.

Designers should send an email inquiry to Allison Solis at allisongsolis@gmail.com.
