The world of modeling was calling.
And agents from that world were waiting to see who would answer the next clarion for a “top model.”
John Casablancas Modeling and Career Center of Rocky Hill organized the Top Model Search held at the Tanger Outlets at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut on Dec. 7.
Representatives from prestigious modeling agencies watched as men and women of all ages made their way down a runway in the outlet center’s center court, looking to walk into their big break.
Wilhelmina Modeling Agency’s Niko said he was “looking for a fresh face, someone who is enthusiastic and really wants it.”
Dana Cullen of State Management in New York City had her radar set up to find some high fashion models. But as a full-service agency, Cullen said she also was watching for plus-size, male, and lifestyle models.
Darrin Judkins of BMG Model and Talent of New York was casting a wide net for models. BMG does work with New York Fashion Week and looks for high fashion models. But he said curvy models, fitness models, and child models also were of interest.
“What I’m looking for is the beautiful high fashion girl,” said Sandy Bass of New York’s Red Model Management, which works with the likes of Tommy Hilfiger, Christian Siriano, Ralph Lauren. “We also just started our curve division so I’m looking for beautiful plus sized girls, too.”
