When Risque Dukes showed its latest season of swimwear, there was one particular “eye-catching” theme on some of the garments.
At the line’s Art Hearts Fashion show in New York City during the September 2019 New York Fashion Week shows, Risque Dukes’s had several swimsuits with large surrealistic eyes on the tops, looking at the photo pit as the models sashayed down the runway. On the bottoms, large tongues jutting through surrealistic lips were painted across the fabric.
It made for a rather artistic statement on garments often known for sexiness.
Not that every piece on the runway from the Miami-based design house reached out for museum quality statements. There also were plenty of sensual suits with solids and prints that are typically found in swimsuits and would have caught the eye of passers-by on the Florida coastline.
