StyleWeek Northeast was supposed to be celebrating its 18th anniversary next month with a bevy of fashion showcases and runway shows.

But fans of the Providence, R.I. fashion event will have to wait longer as StyleWeek is another victim of COVID-19.

StyleWeek, which had been scheduled for May 27-30, will now be Sept. 30-Oct. 3.

In an Instagram post April 1, the organization said, “After much consideration during this time of change, we have decided to reschedule StyleWeek.”

“We hope you are healty and continue to practice the guiidelines of social distancing and staying home,” said the post.

StyleWeek’s postponement follows the example of high profile events in Milan, Paris, and New York City that have pushed off fashion events until later in the year.
