“My inspiration is rooted in the natural movement and characteristics of modern architecture,” said the 25-year-old Colorado resident who founded for the SAKE of him in 2012.

Ake was a recent winner at the Magnifique fashion competition held in Pigeon Forge, Tenn. In August. Magnifique was founded by former “America’s Next Top Model” contestant Victoria Henley.

“I’ve personally been consumed by the earth’s textile manufacture and have been enthralled on how to make it more relevant in order to personally represent a fixture on its own,” said Ake.

“I use a mixture of basic and complex fabric to create designs that reflect the latest trends and fashions,” said Ake. “My creations are very eclectic and trendy.”

Ake’s fashion endeavors are grounded in her passion for the arts, she said. “From mere penciled designs to architecture and images that inspire me.”
