Turning a dream into her reality

Shyanne Romano has had a dream since she was a child. She wanted to be a model.

However, the 25-year-old from Lowell, Mass. said she was told again and again that it was an unattainable dream.

But Shyanne said she is unwilling to bow to the naysayers. Despite working two full-time jobs, the self-described “independent and ambition” woman keeps pushing.

“I truly will stop at nothing and (will) sacrifice everything in the pursuit of my dreams coming true,” said Shyanne.

To reach her goal of being a model, Shyanne competed in a contest to be on the cover of Maxim magazine, reaching second place. She competed in Florida for the curvy division in the Miss Fashion Global contest.

However, Shyanne at last has begun to break through the wall surrounding her dream. She was a recent winner of Victoria Henley’s Magnifique Showcase in Gulfport, Miss. The event, which was Shyanne’s first runway show, is organized by “America’s Next Top Model” veteran Victoria Henley.

Henley, said Shyanne, truly gave her an opportunity to shine.

To those who have criticized her ambitions, Shyanne said, “I’ll always be a winner in the end.”
