It’s 2021. Long live the prom

2020 was a bust for high school proms. COVID-19 made sure of it.

As social distancing became a requisite for life in America, girls looking to shop for the perfect gown instead had to make do with the perfect pair of leggings.

But 2021 is a different story.

With a vaccine in hand, the number of infection rates falling and state prohibitions on large gatherings being relaxed, the powers that be in some school districts are reconsidering the possibility of holding a prom for high school juniors and seniors. The gatherings may be reduced in size and they may be held outside, but there are going to be proms this year. (Social media already is dotted with photos of proms held in the south and out west.)

In anticipation of prom, Dazzle Boutique (DazzleBoutiques.com) of Oxford, Conn. provided some elegant, fun and on-trend looks perfect for the proms in New ENgland that may become a reality this year.

Models Miss Connecticut’s Outstanding Teen Aicha Diallo of West Haven, Conn. and Wolcott High School (Conn.) teen Allie Maisto have a blast playing prom queens for the day.
