Hawaii came to New York City and left some fashion insight behind.
Dezigns by Kamohoalii, based in Kaneohe, Hawaii presented a fashion show that took traditional Hawaiian fashion and textiles and gave them a modern twist at the Runway 7 fashion show held during New York Fashion Week at the Sony Hall on Sept. 9.
Before the men’s and women’s fashion took the spotlight, guests at Runway 7 were provided a performance traditional Hawaiian music and dance led by the designer Kumu Hula Micah Kamohoalii.
