Peacock and The Miss America Organization announced that this year’s 100th anniversary competition will stream live on Peacock, NBCUniversal’s streaming service, on Thursday, Dec. 16 at 8 p.m. the 10,000 seat Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville.
The competition will not be carried on any cable or broadcast network this year.
This year’s competition will return with a new and enhanced format allowing audiences to stream the event live across all time zones for the first time ever, said a press release announcing the move from Miss America.
The night will feature the Forever Miss Americas pre-show at 7 p.m. followed by Peacock’s live competition show at 8 p.m.
Jeff Hamilton, president and general manager of Mohegan Sun, said in a press release: “Mohegan Sun can’t wait for mid-December to arrive when once again our beautiful resort and casino will host so many incredible and impactful women vying to be Miss America 2022. The excitement and energy reverberated all throughout Mohegan Sun for the 99th Miss America Competition, and we expect this upcoming 100th Anniversary Competition to do that and more, once again. We’re really looking forward to working with our friends with the Miss America Organization and Peacock for a great week of events, beginning on Dec. 12th.”

Also, prior to the finals on Dec. 16, the two nights of preliminary competitions will be available to be streamed on WatchMissAmerica.com Sunday, Dec. 12 and Monday, Dec. 13 at 7 p.m. The preliminary competition nights will take place in Mohegan Sun’s Earth Expo Center.
