Backstage Pass columnist, and model, Victoria Henley releases 2 books

Victoria Henley of “America’s Top Model” Cycle 19, iHeart Radio and the writer behind “Backstage Pass” on CTFashionMag.com is making her debut as an author with not one, but two new books: “Model PRENUER” and “Taming the Type A Tiger.”

Henley has written hundreds of pieces ranging from legions of childhood movie reviews for local, regional and state newspapers, a comedy farce stage play, “Sister Queens” (which she produced at the age of 15 at the  Olive Theater), and a first place honored in fractured fairytale competition sponsored by the Georgia Public Library system for her short story, “Once Upon a Time.”

During adulthood, Henley has held titles as the fashion liaison and fashion week blogger for the world’s largest home shopping network, penning hundreds of articles regarding the latest runway and red carpet trends (as well as more in depth pieces regarding the technical elements of fine gemstones) and script writing for her network show, “Gem’s and Trends.”

Most recently, Henley has been privileged to travel the world, writing magazine articles, blogs, promotions, and  spotlight features for her iHeart Radio show and podcast, “Backstage Pass with Victoria” and CTFashionMag (an official sponsor and prize vendor for her fashion branding and production company, Magnifique), through which she has ventured to cloud forests of Costa Rica, London, Ireland, and a myriad of major and obscure cities alike across the United States.

The entrepreneur has written promotions for internationally recognized brands including Coca Cola, Sight and Sound Theater, The Atlanta Opera, Legends in Concert, Hilton Hotels, Zetton Group (one of the foremost restaurateur groups in Japan), The Ritz Carlton, Chef Roy Yamaguchi and Ripley’s Believe it or Not,

In a press release, Henley said one of her “proudest promotions” was penned to support Lands in Love, a nonprofit animal rescue run by a group of lifelong friends (and former service members in the Israeli Army), who dedicate their lives to supporting the nearly 1,200 rescue animals who live at the sanctuary. Henley, along with her mother and business partner, Lynn, has made two excursions to the jungles of Costa Rica and has raised thousands of dollars through producing fashion shows and shoots on site, where they bring in models and designers  from their Magnifique Company. The Henleys are currently sponsoring a contest through which one lucky winner will receive a free trip (including chef prepared vegan meals, lodging and a full adventure package with waterfall repelling, zip lining, rafting, horseback riding and more.)

You can enter the contest https://animallove.cr/donations/vhe/and all donations go to the animals, veterinary care, and upkeep of the recuse facilities.

Finally, following nearly six years of contemplation, drafting/ re-drafting, relentless prompting from clients, and searching for the right editor and publisher to bring the project to life, Henley has released her two new books.

“Model-PRENUER” is a comprehensive networking, branding, and training guide for not only aspiring models and fashion industry professionals, but also any iconoclastic entrepreneur who defies traditional industry norms. “Model-PRENUER explores the vast, intriguing histories of the modeling and fashion industries, as well the evolution of the profession as a career and how starkly many global corporations are re-branding in order to accommodate a more diverse clientele. This unique and intricately written work also serves as some what of a guidebook, outlining all the basic essential skills a model needs in order to build their brand, including resume composition consultations, walking instructions, growing an organic and involved social media following, and strategizing your platform to branch into numerous fields in the fashion entrepreneurial genre,” said press materials for the book.

“Taming the Type A Tiger,” the press release said, “contains insightful, applicable tips on maintaining good mental health in the often tumultuous fashion, entrepreneurial, and modeling industries, as well as common sense advice on an array of topics ranging from nutrition to networking, to finding healthy ways to cope with inevitable rejection and criticism.”

The books, which will officially release on Amazon, select book sellers, and numerous additional platforms this summer, are available for limited pre-order prior to the set launch date (all pre-orders will include exclusive perks and benefits, including free passes to launch parties, signed copies, discounts and more).
