Array is arguably one of the brightest, and most diverse variety shows on the Pigeon Forge Parkway. The Array Variety Show — the signature show at Mountain of Entertainment Theater– features a dynamic line up of vocalists (belting tunes of a multitude of genres, spanning the decades), superbly skilled dancers and striking choreography, dazzling costumes, world class variety acts, and laugh out loud comedy, all packed into one edge of your seat two hour entertainment spectacular.
The brainchild of seasoned theatrical performing and producing veteran, Hugh Warren and his wife, Chelsi Jussel Warren, Array officially opened to the public in April 2023 with a mission of producing top quality shows that create an atmosphere where guests, cast, and employees alike all share a sense of kinship and down-home good heartedness towards each other, featuring an unabashed love of Jesus Christ at the forefront and center of everything they do.
Array, which is sure to excite and delight both the young and the young at heart members of your family, arguably features the most culturally diverse cast in the Great Smokies, including specialty acts ranging from the dynamic Argentinian dance and percussion troupe, Go Gaucho, Duo Artis’, by Leann Farley and Seymon Gruzdev, who originally hails from Russia, and many other variety acts that each provide an immersive and unique element to the overall Array experience.
Hailed by many critics and audience members alike as a truly incomparable variety entertainment experience, this season’s Array show features an even bigger and more exciting line up of entertainers including mainstay, Hugh Warren (as a host and principal vocalist), Andrea Tyler (a recurring vocal headliner who has traveled the world as a featured vocalist and Adele tribute artist), Haylee She (acclaimed for her powerhouse vocals and commanding stage presence in many venues around Pigeon Forge, at Dollywood Theme Park and beyond), Jace Warren, the featured youth performer who brings an element of charm and playfulness into each number, and additional wildly talented featured and ensemble cast members including Samuel Naine, Jonathan Weathersby, T.C Barnette (whose deep country baritone voice and inimitable southern charm make him a perfect choice for the host), Madee Brown, Jill Terry ( a fresh faced and enigmatic dancer and performer, who can also be seen as a featured dancer and magician’s assistant in Array’s sister show, Illusionation), as well as the undeniably talented dance team of Cassidy Fields, Jacquelyn Spicher and Lauren Bass.
The opening number, Journey’s high-octane “Any Way You Want It” blends rock vocals with dynamic choreography, leading to a powerful rendition of Heart’s “Barracuda.” Then an ensemble performance of Juke Box Hero by Foreigner is brought to life that you won’t soon forget.
Additional numbers during the “Rock On” opening portion of the show include a high energy version of Joan Jett and the Blackhearts’ “ I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll”, Def Leppard’s ’80s “Pour Some Sugar on Me,” the Bon Jovi ballad “Living on a Prayer” and another Journey classic, “Don’t Stop Believing.”
A jaw dropping rendition of AC/DC’s “Thunderstruck” featured performer Seymon Gruzdev on the Cyr Wheel, transitioned into a retro throwback segment featuring the greatest hits of yesteryear, highlighting the iconic Andrews Sisters number, “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy” and the Connie Francis classic “Where the Boys Are.”
The featured variety acts, Go Gaucho and Duo Artis’ brought the audience to rousing applause.
The movie segment of Array celebrated toe tapping numbers from an assortment of Hollywood films.
The Rio Carnival themed section of the show featured a colorful, vibrant and lively homage to Brazilian culture, and a tribute to veterans.
