by MIKE CHAIKEN

Powerful political messages accompanied the stark fashions presented by AVADO during the “Afropunk: Life in Color” fashion show on Feb. 22.

The fashion show, which celebrated Black History Month, was produced by Chasity Aniece Productions at Bridgeport’s Foolproof Brewery. The show celebrated the men and women who were the foundation of and innnovators of rock and roll.
