Nestled within the bustling heart of the Grand Caymans, Ms. Piper’s Kitchen plus Garden is a quaint, cottage style restaurant tucked away in an intimate, yet elegant, backyard setting.
Based upon the fictitious character, Ms. Piper, an enigmatic, well-traveled woman of culture, her cottage displays a wildly unique, yet carefully curated collection of decor , artifacts, ornaments, and memories from all of her many travels. The design aesthetic of Ms. Piper’s Kitchen plus Garden is unapologetically feminine, featuring a soft array of pastels and floral prints, displaying an unspoken understanding that strength, power, and femininity need not be mutually exclusive.
This widely acclaimed destination for culinary excellence creates a meaningful space with a nod to the free spirits, the stylish vagabonds, the young at heart, and effortless feminine energy.
My Backstage Pass team was elated to receive the exclusive opportunity to spotlight this legendary local establishment, and food and beverage manager Erick Gutierrez warmly greeted us and welcomed us to our seats, where a world of masterful cocktails, exceptional entrees and decadent desserts awaited us.
The menu, which is built and beautifully curated to look like a colorful food, travel, and lifestyle magazine, features pages upon pages of extraordinary options, making our task of selecting merely a few standout items a seemingly impossible feat for us.
Luckily, Gutierrez arranged for the chef to select some standout items for our visit, each course complimenting the other and blending beautifully for an elegant dining experience to remember.
Our server, Venusia was warm, affable, and extremely helpful, answering questions with ease and attention to detail and attentively checking on our table.
The first portion of the cocktail menu is inspired by empowered, emboldened, and iconoclastic rule breaking women throughout history, including libations inspired by wave making ladies ranging from Rita Moreno to Florence Nightingale, Selena, Audrey Hepburn, and many more.
Our absolute favorites from the cocktail menu were:
COCKTAILS:
LAVIE EN ROSE: Inspired by Edith Piaf. Lychee infused Mirabeau Gin plus French vanilla blend plus egg white plus Thai Basil infused Italicus. Also featuring tropical pink circus sherbet and pink cava.
SORREL WATER: Appleton Estate Rum plus spiked hibiscus tea and agave.
SPICY BASILLITA: El Jimador Tequila plus lemon Juice plus jalapeño syrup plus Italian basil plus salt plus corn chip plus lime gel.

DESSERTS:

Following our delightful meal, which was certainly a standout of our Grand Cayman excursion, we enjoyed pleasant conversation in the midst of the night island breeze, while the sounds of melodious harmonies from an incredible local band played late into the night.
Special thanks to Erick and the entirety of the Ms. Pipers Kitchen plus Garden Team for taking such wonderful care of us during our visit!
