Backstage Pass: Model Victoria Elizabeth wowed at ‘Wow’

by VICTORIA ELIZABETH

Lauded by both critics and audiences alike as one of the most truly dazzling variety shows in Las Vegas, “Wow” utilizes spellbinding visual effects, a world-class cast of dancers, cirque artists, acrobats, and specialty acts in a 180-degree water-themed theater with 3D multimedia projections, water walls, and holograms.

Since its debut at the legendary Rio in the heart of “Sin City,” this dynamically unique variety show has entertained millions of guests throughout its illustrious run of seasons, and the 2025 season certainly does not disappoint with brand new acts, cast members, and numbers combined with the classic favorites you’ve grown to know and love.

Thanks to cast member Jake Johnson, the Backstage Pass Team was excited to highlight this renowned show as a part of our Vegas “Must Sees” spotlight feature.

The nearly two-hour show kicked off to a rousing start with a visually breathtaking spectacle featuring tranquil waters, beautiful mermaids, and a hapless fisherman who wanders into a mystical fantasy world of sea life.

Dizzying displays of dexterity and feats of agility are performed including hand balancing, mind blowjngly complex acrobatics, and scarf juggling, all complete with extravagant costumes and set to up tempo songs such as “You’re the One that I Want” from “Grease” as well as the Irish classic “Drunken Sailor.”

Additional stand out moments include hat juggling, plate spinning, and a skating segment featuring performers with awe-inspiring coordination and unmatched skills.

Laughs continue to unfold minute by minute with a cast of lovably goofy “comic relief” characters who engage the nearly packed audience in various segments of audience participation bits.

Water elements fill the stage and adorn the surrounding screens in a “Titanic” act, featuring elegant choreography and period costumes set to the tune of the iconic “My Heart Will Go On” by Celine Dion.

A quirky, rotund, Italian chef storms the stage and steals the spotlight with synchronized plate spinning , and a “Living Statue” portion of the show brings statues to life right before your very eyes. The daring duo Luigi and Marco bring audiences to the edge of their seats with foot-balancing and cheat death in a way you’ve surely never seen before while completely blindfolded on the Wheel of Death.

Arguably one of the top billing acts in the show is performed by industry veteran Silvia Silvia, a wildly talented crossbow artist featured on Season 10 of “America’s Got Talent.” Her larger than life skills on the crossbow have taken her around the world from South America’s circus circuit to Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and beyond, before she landed at her residency as an integral part of the Wow show at the Rio.

The first and only woman to perform the spellbinding act featuring 8 bows and 8 arrows brings the crowd to an enamored hush as she utilizes a power bow to obliterate a string holding a cluster of balloons together, shoots meticulously at a box holding her performance partner inside, and uses her masterful archery strengths to effortlessly execute the classic “shooting an apple off the head” trick, blurring the lines between performance art and death-defying danger.

A “Singing in the Rain” act is sure to have you dancing in your seat with a breathtaking synchronized dance , and the show closes with a rousing finish as the cast floods the stage celebrating the element of water in various languages.

Brilliantly performed and action packed from start to finish, Wow has firmly cemented its status as a “must see” production in Las Vegas, leaving audiences breathless and “wowed” night after night.
