The Mountain of Entertainment Theater has just welcomed Pigeon Forge’s newest dynamic, exciting, and culturally immersive show to its stage, “Ole’,” which features Argentinian dance sensations: Go Gaucho.
This unique and wildly entertaining production features nearly two hours of high-octane, non-stop, edge-of-your-seat entertainment, including perfectly in-sync dance routines, jaw dropping drumming performances, and inimitable demonstrations featuring the boleadoras, one of South America’s fastest and most dangerous weapons.
Go Gaucho, the widely-acclaimed Argentinian dance troupe who has traveled the world bringing their unique brand of entertainment to stages internationally, cemented their residency with the renowned Array Variety Show upon its inception in 2023, and since, they have stolen the hearts of audience members from across the U.S.
The show began with a pulse pounding drumming sequence featuring the entire cast of Ole’, including Go Gaucho owner and founder, Sebastian Sayago, his wife Amberlyn and the extremely talented team of supporting cast members: Walter and Guillermo, whose expert comic timing and high energy rhythm keeps audiences fully engaged and relentlessly entertained.
Jaw-dropping and superbly-choreographed group dance numbers featuring the perilous boleadora are always a highlight and the show continues full-force with a heart pounding duel between two of the cast members, a toe-tapping rhythmic dance, and a segment featuring two very brave volunteers, a couple of roses, and bullwhips…an act you absolutely must see in order to believe.
The La Samba, a ballroom dance of Brazilian origin that is also known as “The Dance of Love” adds a softness and romantic element to the show, while box drumming, a technical tap routine by Amberlyn, and lots of laugh out loud comedic moments and audience interaction keep the energy of the show bright and vibrant.
Malambo (a traditional Argentinian folk dance, a solo dance performed by men, and a competitive display of skill and strength, is an unwavering cultural symbol of South American performance art) is honored in the form of several routines by the show’s headliner, Sebastian Sayago, who just so happens to be Argentina’s National Malambo Champion.
Other stand-out segments of this already iconic specialty show at The Mountain of Entertainment Theater in Pigeon Forge, Tenn. include knife dancing and knife throwing, a beautiful and exciting, yet highly dangerous form of performance art that you certainly should not try at home. Filled with precise and expertly executed dance, percussion, and stunningly displayed Argentinian Culture, Ole’ is great fun for the entire family and truly unlike anything else you’ll see on the Pigeon Forge Parkway!
Special thanks to the wonderful Kolette Ball, Hugh Warren, and the rest of the Go Gaucho and Mountain of Entertainment Team for facilitating our visit for this spotlight feature.)
