Backstage Pass: Scooting into Scooter’s for food, beverages and minigolf

Featuring a brand new location nestled on the iconic Green Mountain Drive in Branson, Mo., Backstage Pass visited Scooter’s Sports Bar and Grill with its a delectable array of artfully prepared “bar style” foods on the menus, an exciting assortment of domestic and imported beers on tap, a state-of-the-art miniature golf course, an expansive array of classic arcade games, and endless opportunities for amusement, all under one roof.

Voted consistently by top travel platforms, critics, and guests alike as one of the top family friendly restaurants in the city of Branson, Scooter’s is family-owned and operated by a dynamic husband and wife team of serial entrepreneurs, featuring a stellar staff that places a keen emphasis upon customer satisfaction and serves up unparalleled hospitality.

The Backstage Pass Team and I were thrilled to return for an updated, spur of the moment, visit to Scooter’s brand new location following a spotlight feature roughly four years prior at the previous, original location. 

We were elated to stumble upon the brand new Scooter’s Sports Bar and Grill location following an excursion on Branson’s Redneck Comedy Bus Tour, which features an easy and convenient pick up and drop off schedule in the Scooter’s parking lot.

Upon arrival, we were escorted to our seat by the personable seating host, after which we perused  the impressive menu, featuring an expansive variety of food and beverage items, specially curated to satisfy a wide variety of cravings. 

Luckily, we had some help from the owners and staff in making our selections, which seemed to be somewhat of an insurmountable feat on our own given the large selection from which to choose, and we have listed some of our favorites.

BEVERAGES: 

Octo-Haze: OctoHaze by 4 Hands Brewing Co. is a 7% ABV New England-style IPA featuring a hazy, golden-orange appearance and a velvety, full-bodied mouthfeel. It is heavily dry-hopped with Mosaic, Galaxy, and Nectaron hops, producing intense, juicy waves of passion fruit, peach, and citrus with minimal, smooth bitterness. A robust, modern, aromatic, and easy-drinking beer that delivers intense fruit flavors

Blueberry Wheat: Produced by Sea Dog Brewing Company , based in Portland Maine, this ale is a 4.6% ABV American wheat ale brewed with 2-row British pale ale, malted wheat, and light Munich malts, and infused with Maine wild blueberries. It features a dark straw color, a sweet, fruity, and slightly artificial aroma of blueberry pie filling, and a crisp, clean finish, making it a popular, light-bodied choice to enjoy on its own or as an accompaniment for a wide variety of meals or snacks.

Note: Non drinkers can enjoy an array of non alcoholic beverage options including an extensive line up of sodas, teas, and much more. 

FOOD: 

Tomato Pesto Grilled Chicken: Succulent grilled chicken breast, dressed with pesto, mozzarella , Asiago and roasted tomatoes. Choice of two sides. We selected mixed seasonal vegetables featuring a sublimely seasoned array of green beans and flavorful squash, as well as a loaded baked potato complete with all the “fixings” such as sour cream,thick cut bacon bits and cheddar cheese, served up with a  fried roll on the side.) 

Blackened Bone-In Wings: One pound of premium chicken wings, grilled and tossed in Buffalo sauce “Scooter’s Way” with blue cheese or ranch served on the side. 

Pastrami Reuben: Mozzarella cheese, sauerkraut, 1000 Island dressing on the side. 

Following our delightful dining experience, we made our way over to the World of Wizards Miniature Golf Course, which is quickly establishing its reputation as the premier indoor mini golf course of Branson, featuring 18 holes of fun, adventure and excitement with customized glow in the dark artworks, state of the art animatronics, and endless opportunities for interactive play at each and every turn. 

Deemed by countless review forums and on social media as “The Best Mini Golf Experience in Branson, this one of a kind blacklight indoor miniature golf experience features a dizzying display of magical props and wizardly wonders, including a gigantic animatronic dragon, spooky spider forest, fairies, orcs, as well as a mystical unicorn. 3-D glasses are available, upon request, to further enhance and magnify your overall experience .
