Part of the now-iconic Redneck Comedy Bus Tour franchise , which owns and operates tours in top vacation destinations including Pigeon Forge and Nashville, Tenn. as well as Branson, Mo., the Redneck Comedy Bus Tour of Nashville provides guests the opportunity to fully absorb all of the inimitable sights, sounds, and vibes of Music City in a way you have never experienced it before.
Rowdy, irreverent, and politically incorrect, the Redneck Comedy Bus Tour experience sets itself distinctly apart from other tour groups and buses in that each excursion is narrated by a professional comedian, serving up country fried colloquialisms, wry wit, and southern sarcasm with no holds barred. Ranked consistently among top travel platforms as one of the best ways to explore the city of Nashville, this renowned company offers guided tours that will make you erupt in laughter while soaking up the sights of historical landmarks and hidden gems alike.
Once we arrived to our location of disembarkment for the nearly two-hour tour, we were led into the tour bus by our driver “Uncle Lenny” (he also writes much of the jokes and content featured on the tour), who was tasked with driving us through Music Row and by some of the most widely recognized and truly legendary landmarks of our nation’s music capitol.
The featured comic on our tour was Steven Hall (@buckshotcomedy), a decorated comic whose resume includes appearances ranging from the acclaimed Shiners Comedy Show (where Cirque Meets Comedy) at the historic Woolworth, host and producer of the popular podcast “Short and Stout” (which he hosts with a little person , as the punny title eludes), and many more regional and national credits alike.
Buck Shot and Uncle Lenny (who often collaborates with the cast of the Redneck Comedy Bus Tour on fresh new content) keep a fun, tongue-in-cheek rapport going throughout the duration of the tour, providing a briefing of the adventures that await. The tour begins near the general vicinity of the Gaylord Opry Hotel and Opry Mills Mall before heading out on the official route, which first approaches the “Musica” statue ( a large bronze sculpture located in the Music Row Roundabout in Nashville, Tenn. that features nine nude figures dancing in a circle in celebration of Nashville’s diverse musical climate). As expected, jokes ensued at the expense of the series of statues with Uncle Lenny referring to one of the figures as his “girlfriend” and Buck Shot calling the spectacle “Hillbilly Porn.”
The headlining comic and driver maintain an engaging and hilarious rapport throughout the duration of the two-hour excursion, often tag-teaming with jokes and finishing one another’s thoughts and sentences. The trademark camouflage bus charged forward past some of the most iconic historical landmarks in the city of Nashville, including an assortment of music labels, the Country Music Association, and many more recording, publishing, and representation outlets.
A rousing game of music trivia is hosted by Buckshot and Uncle Lenny, which tested the tour group’s knowledge of all things pertaining to country music.
The featured tour stop was at the storied Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.
Truly one of the best (and most down right hysterical) ways to explore downtown Nashville and beyond, The Redneck Comedy Bus Tour should be at the top of your vacation bucket list on any outing to Music City.
Special thanks to Dave and the entire Redneck comedy Bus Tour Team for arranging our visit for this spotlight feature!
