Fashion editorial: ‘Wicked’ style inside Cava

by MIKE CHAIKEN

Several young models with fashion dreams in their eyes traveled the yellow brick road to Southington, Conn. to reach Cava Restaurant on West Street (http://www.cavact.com) where they had the opportunity to take part in a fashion shoot wearing designs from Sherri Dvorkin Carter inside the “Wicked” inspired decorations constructed in the locally celebrated eatery. Pennsylvania photographer Brett Martelli worked with Carter to capture the images for the models.

The girls — Maddison Rose Trump, Georgia Kate Rowland, Maddie Hope Eaton and McKenna Norton — traveled from different parts of the country to converge on the representations of Munchkinland and Oz that have taken residency in Cava. The gowns were inspired by the two main characters of the film based on the stage musical, Elphaba and Glinda.
