Connecticut model Mylin Bennett of Meriden had a good week in Miami Beach.
Competing for the first time at Miss Bikini US, a modeling competition/ pageant, Bennett was selected as fourth runner-up in the Miss Bikini Model division of the event. The event was held Thursday, July 24.
Competing as Miss Bikini Northeast Model, the Nutmeg State representative was judged in fantasy swimwear and evening gown categories. Also, she was judged by a team of photographers on her modeling skills. She worked with photographers for three hours at dawn on three days and for three hours in the afternoon on two days.
In addition to the competitive dimensions of Miss Bikini US, Bennett took part in a runway fashion show at the Sagamore South Beach Hotel in Miami Beach on Wednesday, July 23. And, on July 24, she took part in a casting call.
Prior to her trip, Bennett posed for a photo shoot at Indian Well State Park in Shelton, where she wore a swimsuit from one of the brands that showed in the fashion show, Chixit.
