A new Miss Connecticut USA and Miss Connecticut Teen USA were crowned on Sunday night, May 24 in Windsor, Conn.
Jaeden Hamelly, who was competing as Miss New London County, was picked as the new Miss Connecticut USA. She succeeds Jenna Hofmann.
Maggie Peterson, who was competing as Miss West Simsbury Teen, was tapped as the new Miss Connecticut Teen USA. She succeeds Daviana Plaza.
In the miss category, first runner-up was Miss Middletown Emilee Mills; second runner-up was Miss Danbury Claudian Francis; second runner-up was Miss Southbury Samantha Labonne; third runner-up was Miss West Haven Taliyah McGree.
In the teen category, first runner-up was Miss New Britain Akuchukwu Oputa; second runner-up was Miss Brookfield Nicole Fermin.
Hamelly also was chosen as Miss Congeniality and Miss Photogenic in the miss category.
Peterson was selected as Miss Photogenic in the teen category. Miss Westport Teen Reese Cohn was selected as Miss Congeniality for the teens.
