A West Hartford 19-year-old is the new Miss Polish America.
Victoria Przestrzelski of West Hartford, who is pursuing a degree in communications, was selected as the titleholder from a pool of eight contestants on May 25.
Przestrzelski succeeds Julia Karwacki as the new Miss Polish America.
Contestants were judged based on an interview with judges, cocktail dresses, swimsuits, evening gown and on-stage question at the competition held at the Baltic Restaurant in Berlin, Conn.
First runner-up was Nathalie Rzeczycka from Shelton; second runner-up, Milena Budny from New Britain; third runner-up, Victoria Barnat of Rocky Hill; and fourth runner-up , Anna Babinska of Harwinton.
Also competing for the title were: Otylia Olechno, Olivia Perkowski and Lilly Laporte.
Bernat won the People’s Choice Award and Most Photogenic Award.
Babinska was selected as Miss Congeniality.
Przestrzelski was selected Miss Publicznsci by receiving the most votes from the audience on pageant night.
