Model finds passion and purpose in pageants

Model Raeghan Steele, 16, is a high school sophomore from Sweetwater, Texas.

An Air Force child, Raeghan experienced frequent relocations growing up. Every two years, there was a new city and a new school… and a renewed need to build new connections.

Raeghan, who competes in pageants, has established a platform of “Rae of Sunshine.” This initiative was born from her own experiences of navigating the challenges of frequent change. #RaeofSunshine is intended to provide a safe and positive online space where individuals, especially young people, can find encouragement, inspiration, and resources to cultivate self-confidence and embrace their unique beauty.

Competing in pageants since 2023, Raeghan said she loves the opportunity to showcase her personality, build confidence, and connect with other driven young women.
