Model Leyna Vega is a proud Puerto Rican Latina whose interests include film, fashion, and storytelling.
Raised between Connecticut and Florida, in an email to CTFashionMag, she said she brings a distinctive mix of northern drive and southern hospitality to everything she does. Leyna said her love for performance started in church as a child, participating in choir, pantomimes, and community events — experiences that shaped her passion for storytelling and connection.
Today, Leyna explained, she channels that same energy into every project, whether in front of the camera as an actress and model, or behind the scenes as a producer, first assistant director, and creative leader.
Leyna said she is dedicated to bringing Latino flair and her TaĂno heritage to every runway and production she joins.
Leyna has appeared in and produced films such as “Beautiful Horrors Vol. 1 & 2” (Amazon), “Center of Attraction,” and “WHOA.” Upcoming projects include “The Hunted,” “Change of Heart,” “A Man’s Worth,” “Heritage in the Strings,” and “Echoes of Asgard.”
Leyna said she has walked the runways of New York Fashion Week and L.A. Fashion Week, modeling for designers like Archana Aneja, Mark Marlon NY, Novi Apparel, Desiree Scarborough, and Victoria Henley (the former contestant of “America’s Next Top Model”) with Magnifique Runway, and co-hosted Anastasia Magazine’s NYFW Fashion Show. She is also a brand ambassador for Glow-Art.
Leyna said she aims to empower talent and elevate Latino representation in fashion and film.
