Rachel Oakes, a Somerville, Ala.–based health and wellness advocate, also is a recent winner at the recent Magnifique Showcase, which was organized by former “America’s Next Top Model” contestant Victoria Elizabeth.
In an email, the content creator and runway model said she is proof “that strength, beauty, and confidence only deepen with age.”
Oakes, who is 55, has walked the runways of New York Fashion Week and Miami Swim Week, representing brands such as Krissy King the Label and Donny’s Devil.
Oakes wrote: “Whether (I’m) sharing (my) fitness journey, stepping into bold fashion, or encouraging others to own their evolution, (I am) a force redefining what midlife looks and feels like. (My) message is simple: it’s never too late to show up for yourself—and shine.”
