New Miss Connecticut, Miss Connecticut’s Teen crowned

A new Miss Connecticut and Miss Connecticut’s Teen were selected at the annual Miss Connecticut Scholarship competition in Bristol, Conn. on Saturday, June 27.

Miss Constitution State Christa Steiner won the Miss Connecticut title. She goes on to compete for Miss America, which will be held in West Palm Beach, Fla.

Mia Mathewson, Miss Milford’s Teen, won the honor of being the new Miss Connecticut’s Teen. She now competes for the title of Miss America’s Teen.

First runner-up for the miss category was Alexandria Maisto.

First runner-up for the teen category was Allison Cardona.

Both winners took a few moments after their crowning to speak about their experiences and hopes for the next year.
