Pageant debut: KLD Diamond Showcase awards first title

Michele Gilot-Torres found herself as the first-winner ever of a new Connecticut pageant: KLD Diamond Showcase.

First runner-up was Martina Beattie-Uhlig. And the second runner-up was Gilot-Torres’ younger sister, Jesiannette Gilot.

Contestants were judged in cocktail dresses and evening gowns created by pageant founder, Karlene Lindsay, who is the creator for Karlene Lindsay Designs.

The pageant was held Aug. 19 at The Reign in Milford.
