Leishla Arroyo of Groton won the annual Bikini Open Shoot Challenge held at Hammonassett Beach State Park in Madison on Sunday, June 28. Taj Smith was first runner-up.

Eight models competed for the event. Nine photographers served as judges. The annual contest requires the contestants to work with each of the photographers over the course of several hours. After each session, the photographers pause to offer their scores on categories such as posing and facial expression.

This was the first year a male model, Khristian Kennedy, participated in the event.
