Backstage Pass: Victoria Elizabeth’s soul is stirred at ‘Mountain Melodies’

One of the newest signature shows at the acclaimed Mountain of Entertainment Theater, “Mountain Melodies: Songs for the Soul,” is a two-hour afternoon show featuring a plethora of soul-stirring gospel music, ranging from old time hymnals from your great-grandparents’ era that defined the genre, ranging to modern, contemporary classics. I and the Backstage Pass team were able to check it out.

Featuring an award-winning cast of seasoned, powerhouse vocalists, including the elegant Amber Montoya, Duke Cleghorn, theater owner and Array host Hugh Warren, Dalton, the enigmatic Kyle King, and the phenomenal Haylee Cottrell and Madee Brown, this show is sure to revitalize your faith and rejuvenate your spirit from start to finish!

A favorite of church groups and traveling buses, Mountain Melodies unabashedly celebrates and represents The Mountain of Entertainment Theater’s standing mission statement to spread the Gospel and Good News of Jesus Christ through song. Featuring all time classics such as the revered old time-spiritual  “Go Tell it on the Mountain”, as well as some iconic modern tunes which  will have you singing right along, Mountain Melodies is sure to offer something for Christian and gospel music enthusiasts of all ages and walks of life.

Mountain Melodies serves up plenty of family friendly comedy that everyone in your group is sure to enjoy with Buford, a world-renowned ventriloquist. Joined by a cast of outrageously colorful and fun puppets, Buford showcases his remarkable ventriloquism skills through his razor-sharp wit and comedic timing as well as his music prowess, bringing to life several toe -tapping songs seeming to never move his lips even once.
