Meet the fashion brand: Butterfly Krissy

Meet Tammy Holton and Angie Stokes of Butterfly Krissy, a recent winner at Magnifique Showcase, produced by Victoria Elizabeth, a former contestant on “America’s Next Top Model.”

Q: How long have you been a designer?

We began our upcycling journey about two years ago, but creativity has always been part of who we are. What started as a love for vintage, music, and creating something different quickly turned into a passion for transforming forgotten pieces into wearable art.

Q: What was the inspiration behind the designs shown in Pigeon Forge?

The inspiration behind our designs at the show was taking people on a journey through the decades of music—from the 60s to today. We carefully combined upcycled pieces to complement the different eras, creating looks that captured not only fashion, but the memories, emotions, and energy that music brings.

Q: How did you hear about the Pigeon Forge show?

Victoria (Elizabeth) visited us during a music festival event and strongly encouraged us to become part of the fashion show experience. Her belief in what we were creating gave us the confidence to take that leap.

Q: How has your experience been with Magnifique?

Our experience with Magnifique has been absolutely incredible. Not only was the opportunity itself amazing, but the people we met along the way made it even more special. We gained friendships, memories, and experiences we will never forget. Victoria is truly an amazing woman whose encouragement and support meant the world to us.

Q: What do you love most about designing?

What we love most about designing is the ability to combine experiences with music. Music has an incredible way of helping people heal, bringing back memories, creating joy, and connecting people. Our designs allow us to tell stories through our clothing and give new life to clothing that may otherwise be discarded.

Q: Where can we find your designs?

You can find us across all social media platforms, but our main purchasing hub is on Etsy where we showcase our latest one-of-a-kind creations.

Q: Does the name ButterflyKrissy have meaning? How did it come to be?

Yes. Butterfly Krissy is much more than a brand—it is a tribute. The boutique was created in honor of Angie’s daughter, Krissy, who passed away in 2016. What began through unimaginable loss slowly transformed into something beautiful. The butterfly became symbolic of transformation, healing, hope, and continuing to fly even after life changes us forever. Butterfly Krissy was built on the belief that beauty can come from broken things—whether that’s fabric, vintage clothing, or even people. Every design is rooted in music, memories, healing, and creating something meaningful from what once was. Our mission has always been simple: take the forgotten and turn it into something unforgettable.
