This photo essay photographed during Project Content explores the nature of romance.
When a woman shows interest for more than just a single night, a man loses interest. He questions the value of the relationship if he’s the pursued rather than the pursuer.
And sometimes, the woman keeps pushing so the man remains in control.
But sometimes a woman has enough self- respect and backs away and says it’s not worth it. There must be others who will appreciate her efforts to surrender her heart, she decides.
And after she evaporates, the man realizes his mistake. He should have made more of an effort in that relationship so he wouldn’t have been left alone.
Models Rashana Miller and Jacqueline Rivera act out the roles of the mismatched lovers at the studios of Hartford’s Warehouse 860, during Project Content. Project Content was part of Editorial Fashion Week, which allowed photographers and models to gather to create fashion editorial worthy content.
