Tana Gorecki was told she had what it took to be a model. So, she took the plunge late last year.

A police dispatcher and a student, the Havre, Montana resident became a model in December 2019. And as Tana explains it, she has been working hard ever since. And loving every minute of it.

Tana had been discovered by Billings, Montana.

However, Tana said, even before that discovery, “I have been hearing I should try it out for many years.” That said, however, “I never put much thought into it until recently.”

Now that she has become a model, Tana has learned photo shoots help her de-stress.

“I can’t imagine what my life would be like if I hadn’t started down this path,” said Tana.

“Modeling has become my passion though, and I can’t wait to see where it takes me,” said Tana.

Tana was a recent winner of Magnifique Fashion Competition held at the Black Fox Resort, Pigeon Forge, Tenn. on Aug. 29. Magnifique Fashion Shows and Competitions are produced by Victoria Henley from “America’s Next Top Model,” Cycle 19.

The model’s life, however, does not just begin and end with her new vocation.

“I like to think of myself as a jack of all trades,” said Tana.

Tana is currently enrolled at Montana State University, where she has a double major of graphic design and liberal arts and working toward an associates of art degree.

“I graduated high school a semester early and began my college career in January of 2020, so I am currently finishing my freshman year this semester,” said Tana.

At MSU, Tana said her favorite classes are art and photography. And just like her decision to become a model, Tana said she could not be happier with her class choices.

To top it off, Tana works as a dispatcher for the Havre Police Department and is a student worker at MSU.
