Can’t get to Orlando? Miss America, Miss America’s Teen will be streamed this week


Tonight, Jan. 9, the Miss America and Miss America’s Teen competitions begin in earnest.

The candidates from across the country – including Miss Connecticut Gina Carloto and Miss Connecticut’s Teen Emily Anastasio — have gathered in Orlando, Fla. And the teens have the first opportunity to vie for the national crown with preliminaries slated to begin at 7 p.m. from the Dr. Phillips Performing Arts Center. The Miss America preliminary competition begins tomorrow, Wednesday, Jan. 10 at 7 p.m. from Florida.

For those unable to make it to Florida, the Miss American Organization is selling streams to all of the events. The Miss America finals on Sunday will be streamed for free on YouTube on the @MissAmericaOfficial channel.

The streaming bundle for the entire week costs $99 and includes access to the content live and video on demand to watch later.

Wednesday, Jan. 10 at 7 p.m.: Miss America Preliminary Competition

Thursday, Jan. 11 at 4 p.m.: Miss America’s Got Talent Teen Competition

Thursday, Jan. 11 at 7 p.m.: Miss America’s Got Talent Competition

Friday, Jan. 12: 7 p.m., Miss America Goes RED Red Carpet. 9 p.m., Miss America Goes RED Fashion Show.

Saturday, Jan. 13 at 7 p.m.: Miss America’s Teen Finals

Sunday, Jan. 14 at 7 p.m.: Miss America Finals

As the current titleholders take to the national stage this week, the Miss Connecticut Scholarship Organization has announced the new location and dates for this year’s state competition.

The state event will be held at the Ridgefield Playhouse in Ridgefield June 20-22. Last year, the event was held at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville. This will be the first time Miss Connecticut and Miss Connecticut’s Teen will be chosen at the playhouse.
