Nestled in the heart of the pristine, peaceful, and serene island of Freeport, Grand Bahamas, Hang Loose and Cruise Party and Snorkeling Boat tours offer some of the most exhilarating expeditions of the Bahamian waterways.

Owned and operated by Maxwell Curry, this dynamic company offers extensive tours on their state-of-the-art 72-foot double decker party boat, the Sea Island Adventurer, perfect for soaking in the unparalleled views of the iconic Port Lucaya and beyond.

I was given the exclusive opportunity to spotlight this top-ranked Bahamian tourist attraction to provide you with all the exclusive inside scoop on what to expect during your upcoming visit.

Once we boarded the Sea Island ship, we were greeted by the friendly Hang Loose staff, who helped us settle in before our impending excursion.

DJ Mari, an 11-year-old wunderkind, kept the spirits high and created a palpable energy by spinning an array of top 40 party hits for guests’ enjoyment, while the crew, including the infectiously upbeat Precious and Herman, spoke into the microphones intermittently, hyping up the nearly sold out crowd.

An assortment of delicious adult libations, including a fruity and flavorful island signature drink, the Bahama Mamma and a bright blue hued beverage (the bartender remained coy when asked the recipe, playfully quipping that the secret ingredient in the delightful cocktail was “love”; however, the flavor and coloration were distinctively reminiscent of a Blue Hawaiian) were complimentary and available on the upper deck for all attendees. Refreshing beverages such as sweet tea, lemonade, and purified water were available or for non-drinking guests.

Dance hits from internationally acclaimed artists such as Beyoncé, Ed Sheehan, Usher and Rihanna filled the air as many guests enjoyed moving to the rhythm while absorbing the sights surrounding the Port Lucaya Harbor.

A vast array of flora, fauna and marine life could be seen throughout the duration of our cruise, including trout and smaller varieties of fish, egrets and herons, colorful bromeliads and lush, green foliage. There are ample opportunities for one-of-a-kind social media worthy photo ops throughout the duration of your party cruise. A friendly attendant will be glad to take photos of you and your family amidst the backdrop of the fun, sun, sand, and sea, capturing moments and memories that last a lifetime.

We headed toward our destination, the iconic Maxxi’s Bahamian Beach Club (also owned and operated by Curry), for some of the most divine cocktails, adult libations and fresh Bahamian food you can find on the island.

The weather was quite tumultuous on the day of our outing, but we were quickly and safely directed to our seats at the beach club, where we enjoyed a sumptuous meal of grilled chicken drumsticks, brown rice and peas.

The beach club provides a bright, colorful, cheerful atmosphere for relaxation and rejuvenation and overlooks the breathtaking Silver Point Beach, one of the most popular beaches in Freeport Grand Bahamas among locals and tourists alike.

Before the conclusion of our expedition, I decided to put on my swimsuit and enjoyed a refreshing swim in the ocean, after which I posed in front of the towering palm trees, firmly fixed within the Snow White beaches on the grounds of the club.

Typically, a snorkeling adventure (complete with all necessary equipment ), and all the trips you care to take down the Party Boat’s impressive and festive yellow water slide are included in your trip; however, due to the inclement weather, guests were unfortunately prohibited from taking part in these activities due to necessary safety precautions.

Nevertheless, our trip was immensely enjoyable and eventful, filled from start to finish with adventure, unparalleled fun, and some of the greatest memories we made during our time on the island.

Special thanks to Maxwell Curry and the entire Hang Loose & Cruise Party and Snorkeling Boat for a wonderful experience.
